Once more, I looked into your eyes. The night sky reflected perfectly, layering over your sprinkled gaze, filling my thoughts and mind with a boundless sense of beauty—just like you.
The stars were shining boldly, contrasting gently with the empty void that filled the distance between them. I took a moment to focus and look into the layers over your shimmering glance. The night’s reflection calmly faded back into darkness, making way for your sparkling brown eyes to emerge.
You looked straight at me. Your lips were sealed, yet your eyes glanced at me with the biggest smile I’ve ever seen.
A moment later, the soft tones of your voice playfully interrupted the solitude of the night.
“You done?” You asked, laughing.
I smiled as I took your hand. You felt magical. Together, we continued our walk, around the boulevard. The air felt thin, while the sense of otherworldly dreamscapes promptly set up around us. It felt like we were eternal, like we were giving ourselves the time and space to be free. To dance and to love as if we were made out of the very starlight, floating through the night. Nothing in this world could take you away from me, not after tonight.
I glanced over at the water. The slow moving ripples had an ethereal beauty to them, making their way towards us. In the water I saw the sky. I saw the stars shimmering underneath a fog of the bright starlight, shining proudly against the limitless void. But behind that layer of magic, there was still you, your eyes and your smile. There was still us, forever lost in a timeless moment of magic. Forever dancing through a night that never ends.
